The standard sizes of timber can vary depending on the timber grade. For example, hySPAN timber comes in sizes like 130x45, 150x45, 240x63, and 300x45. However, if you switch to MGP10 grade timber, the sizes change to 120x45, 140x45, 240x45, and 290x45. These sizes are commonly available in the market. As a structural engineer, it's important to be familiar with these standard sizes to ensure your designs follow the industry standard practices.
